"The host, Andrae was super friendly and helpful, I was able to check in a bit late, he also organised an early morning taxi for me to get to the airport. The location is great, right in the middle of Philipsburg and just minutes walk from the beach. You're surrounded by restaurants and shops. Price was excellent."

Room and amenities are simple, but for this price and location you can't complain.

"We had a fantastic stay at this apartment. It was super comfortable and had everything we needed. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming — they truly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!"

"Super lokalizacja. Dom posiada wszysto co jest potrzebne.parking bez problemu. Bardzo dobra organizacja zakwaterowania, płatności itp kuchnia wyposażona we wszystko, czyściutko, miło. Właściciele pomocni jeśli czegoś potrzebujesz. Super muzeum z przepięknymi starymi domami po drugiej stronie glownej ulicy. Bardzo fajne miejsce, szczerze polecamy!"

"It's a beautiful property- the room and facilities were great. The dinner was delicious and extremely generous- Rum and wine included as well. Breakfast had some nice continental options and I especially enjoyed the herb tea. The host was wonderful- I don't speak French but was very easy using google translate. She gave great instructions for arrival. She also looked after me as and made sure I got to the start of my hike safely- she asked another couple to drop me at the trail on their way to Marla after she realised I was going to walk up the windy mountain road! If you are getting a bus there is also a stop right outside- although take care to plan as the buses don't run frequently."

"A late evening arrival at the airport so I wanted somewhere close to get much-needed sleep before joining an organised group the next day. This was perfect, and Emilie a great host who picked me up from the airport (for a small fee)."

"We traveled on our bicycles and Highland lodge was the perfect stop between Afriski and Mokhontlong. Rooms were very large and so clean. Bed was very large and comfy. Staff was nice, friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend 👌🏼"

We would have enjoyed a desert after our dinner but it was not so important.

Sehr bequemes Bett mit offenen Bettende und guter Matratze. Sehr ruhig. Frühstück mit verschiedener Wurst, Käse und Marmeladen und Gebäck. Vermieterin sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich."

Das kleine Badezimmer(chen) ist wirklich sehr klein. Ist aber kein Kritikpunkt, weil es wurde bei der Buchung schon drauf hingewiesen.

some rooms dont have window and that really does not work for me. They were very acvommodating and let us pick another room.

"The location is beautifully landscaped, with lots of trees and flowers that brought in a variety of wildlife to view! We saw several beautiful birds and cute lizards. Tanja and Leo were extremely kind, welcoming, and accommodating! They provide a binder with plenty of information about the beaches, wildlife, and restaurants. We loved meeting the cats and dogs on the grounds! They were so cute and friendly. Renting a vehicle was easy and allowed us to visit nearby beaches with ease. The outdoor shower was refreshing and beautiful."

There is no air-conditioning, so it could get hot, but it was managable enough. There is a ceiling fan, and if the bathroom door is open, it allows for a lovely breeze. The net for mosquitos is helpful, but we found we needed to supplement with additional bug spray and a citronella candle. All in all, it was not too bad, and it was definitely managable!

Bardzo ładny budynek z własnym obserwatorium astronomicznym! Właściciel jest pasjonatem astronomii. Piękna spokojna okolica, daleko od innych zabudowań i dróg. W nocy słychać wyłącznie zwierzęta. Mówiąc krótko, piękne miejsce daleko od cywilizacji, doskonałe dla każdego, kto chce się przez chwilę odseparować i wyciszyć"

"Un peu difficile d'accès, c'est la campagne, mais vu que le propriétaire est venu nous chercher à l'aéroport il n'y a pas eu de problème. Au contraire nous étions très bien et au calme."

"Quiet location on Varkala's South Cliff with only 5 minute walk to the beach. We booked a room with outdoor patio and really enjoyed sitting out there in the evenings. The room was really spacious and beautifully decorated. Also loved the outdoor shower! The highlight is definitely the swimming pool, which can be enjoyed at all times of the day thanks to the shade from the trees. The landscaping has been so well thought out. It truly felt like a little bit of luxury staying here and we loved it!"
