"A wonderful , basic cabin located in the arguably the best location on the island . Surrounded by acres of exotic fruit and native forest beyond. Birdlife is prolific. This is a place to stay for birdwatching with flocks of African grey parrots, kingfishers, egrets .. and so much more to see.. Excellent value meals can be brought to your table daily. Freshly caught fish, local grown fruit and rice. No need to cook . It's good quality and great value. Bring cash for guides and daily, national park entry fees . The beach is amazing ... REALLY"

Ensure you have bought a local sim-card, loaded with data before arriving. Wifi may not work. Also, before arriving, stop at a supermarket and buy sufficient drinking water for your stay. ( 2 litres per person per day minimum ). Bring mosquito spray for your jungle walks and be prepared to rough it .

"Nice and cozy log cabins, good location, quiet and clean. Shower drain clogged - reception staff immediately came and fixed. Transport to the slopes on time, fast and comfortable. Restaurant amazing food, service was a bit slow but no rush in holiday isn’t it ? Good pricing too. ( half price or even more comparing to a meal at a proper restaurant in uk - not Weatherspoons ) Cheaper than Romania comparing to what resort has to offer in Borovets than Poiana Brasov."

Heating was difficult to set in the upstairs bedroom - either too hot either cold. Would love to see some attention to the small details and some improvements with the heating.

"Piękny widok. Cieplutkie pokoje i super jacuzzi tylko pamiętajcie że trzeba rezerwować po pół godziny dziennie, bo godzina za całość jest darmowa a potem trzeba dopłacać a strona Alfred wprowadza w błąd. Bardzo dobry wybór alkoholi i napojów w cenie pobytu. Mi najbardziej podszedł GIN."

Podjazd mógłby być posypany solą bo wspinaliśmy się autem częściowo po lodzie i śniegu ale i tak bez opon zimowych nie ma co zimą tam próbować wjeżdżać. Dodatkowo dobrze mieć wysoki prześwit i ewentualnie napęd na 4 koła chociaż nasze C5 z hydraulicznym zawieszeniem dało radę bez jakichkolwiek problemów ale miejscami koła boksowały także delikatny stres był bo bez rozpędu po lodzie z napędem tylko na przód mogłoby być różnie. Poza tym troszeczkę ciasna łazienka ale nie dla łazienki się tam jedzie.

"Very nice accommodation. Comfortable, clean with all needed amenities and more! The swimming pool is a pleasure and the view on the palm trees, a real treat. The place is very secure, and perfectly located being very close to the city center on one side and restaurants and bars on the other side (few minutes walk).."

"Wonderful little getaway, greeted by the most charming host and beautiful, peaceful, tranquil surroundings. Saw the sunrise with coffee and breakfast on the private terrace/decking area. A must if you are in the area."

I admit that if you are looking for a bland, all inclusive resort - La Ceiba may not be for you. But if you you want to sleep in the rainforest then this place is beyond perfect. There's a decent track about 400m long from where you park to the accommodation. It is lit at night - watch out for snakes and you'll definitely see frogs."

Just a suggestion - you should promote the work of the Jaguar Rescue Center more. We stayed here partly because the money is used to help wildlife - but many people may not make that connection and so may not go and visit the JRC

"Wszystko czego oczekiwaliśmy to otrzymaliśmy. Kuchnia dobrze wyposażona, w pokoju otrzymaliśmy dodatkowe łózko dla córki. Co kilka dni otrzymywaliśmy nowe, czyste ręczniki i pościel oraz worki do koszy na śmieci. Gospodarze bardzo sympatyczni i pomocni. Okolica spokojna, dwie plaże niedaleko, basen czyszczony codziennie, piękne i zadbane rośliny wokół."

More attention is required to improve cleanliness

"Obiekt położony kilkanaście kilometrów od miasta Peć/Peja, w górach, gdzie prowadzi asfaltowa, dość kręta droga. Parking dla aut przy bramie. Sam budynek przestronny, czysty , wygodny, z czterema pokojami, idealny dla 8/9 osób, Salon i stół jadalny na parterze. W salonie piecyk i zapas drewna, można dodatkowo ogrzać chatę. Mały aneks kuchenny, dobrze wyposażony, ale nie posiadający płyty grzewczej. Butla z gazem znajduje się na zewnątrz, na tarasie. Tam również dodatkowe krzesła i stół idealne do spędzania wieczorów na powietrzu. Możliwość wypożyczenia grilla wraz z węglem. Tuz obok, na terenie całego obiektu, znajduje się restauracja, gdzie można najeść się do syta. Gospodarz bardzo miły i uczynny, kontakt z ośrodkiem bardzo szybki. Polecam!"

Na piętrze podłogi jak i drzwi do pokoju są drewniane i dosyć mocno skrzypią. Utrudnia do spanie, kiedy ktoś wchodzi lub wychodzi z pokojów :)

"Excellent location, just a short walk from Lonnoc Beach and a 15 minute walk from the famous Champagne Beach; 20 minute ride to Port Olry. There is a small village (Hog Harbour Village) nearby, about a 20 minute walk, where you can buy local bread and fruit. Accommodation is very basic but serves its purpose. Mosquito coils and nets are provided. The local who looked after us, Melody, was very welcoming and kind, and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. There were no kayaks available but they can be rented from the neighbouring Lonnoc Beach Bungalows."

Drainage in the shower is poor and the floor quickly becomes wet and muddy. Facilities are very worn out. The room has no shelving to put your belongings; this would be a great improvement. If you are on a budget, keep in mind that pretty much the only food options in the area are the restaurants at the lodge or at neighbouring accommodations, where a meal costs 1500-2000 vatu per person. The food is delicious though and there are local dishes - the paw paw curry was phenomenal.
