"Cicilio i Helena prowadzą pensjonat w Portela. Oboje są bardzo serdeczni. Dostałem do dyspozycji domek o sypialni w kształcie walca, nawiązujący kształtem do tradycji Wysp Zielonego Przylądka. Łazienka była przestronna, nowoczesna i bardzo czysta. Łóżko podwójne, wygodne. Śniadania wyśmienite, bardzo obfite, w których na szczególną uwagę zasługiwał biały kozi ser lokalnego wyrobu, przepyszny. Na zakończenie dnia Helena przyrządzała obiadokolację, również bardzo obfitą i urozmaiconą, przy czym cena posiłku była bardzo umiarkowana. Gospodarze uśmiechnięci, łatwo nawiązywało się kontakt."

"To nie jest zarzut, a stwierdzenie faktu: okolica cierpi na niedobór wody, którą trzeba oszczędzać. W łazience woda była zawsze, jednak czasem ciśnienie było bardzo niskie, a ciepła woda była bardziej letnia, niż ciepła."

"This place is run by some amazing people that helped me with everything I needed, especially given the fact that my luggage didn't arrive on the same flight with me - they helped me with communication with the airline and made all necessary arrangements. The place itself is nice and new, and there is cold and hot water, and also electricity (although power is cut at some point at night until the sun comes out as the solar battery gets depleted so if you need overnight charging for your devices, take this into account). There is also a restaurant with delecious dishes but it is best to book your meals in advance. Overall this is a great place to stay and a good starting point for climbing Pico do Fogo."

"We were traveling around Cabo Vrede and decided to go hiking to vulcano on island Fogo. Found out about this place and made a bookong with them. Staff is extra friendly and very helpful and also the food was delicious. They arrange us guide Manhol for the hiking and this was another great expreience. For all travelers which are coming here we would highly recommend this place."

"Very good breakfast and a delicious dinner, with exquisite fish — probably the best meal of my 12-day trip to Cape Verde. The room is simple but functional. Keep in mind that there is no electricity in the volcanic caldera at night. The staff is very friendly, and you can book the excursion to climb Pico do Fogo directly with them. The views arw unbeatable"
