"Modi Lodge is quite hidden and set in a remote area. It offers a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, which can be great if you’re looking to unwind, but it also means that getting around is difficult without your own transportation. Public transport and taxis are limited in that part of Curaçao, so without a car you won’t be able to easily reach beaches, restaurants, shops, or other attractions on the island."

"The garden is fabulous. So many birds and other flora/ fauna. Lodge has a lot of privacy. Swimming pool is perfect. And the personal is very friendly."

"The staff at Mondi Lodge are an absolute treasure! We were welcomed with warm enthusiasm and left with genuine hugs. This little family is wonderful and we are going to miss them. It was lovely to sit by the pool & chat or have a dip late in the evening. The Yuana treehouse is beautifully incorporated into a giant ficus tree that has a lovely upper deck where you can enjoy the bird song. And there is plenty of bird song! We saw birds in many colours and sizes enjoying the flowers & trees. The landscaping creates a magical pocket of paradise 15 minutes from the city proper. It was a great way to enjoy the culture of Willemstad, local beaches, and the natural beauty of Curacao. For any under the LGBT flag, you have found a welcoming and safe space at Mondi Lodge."

"Loved the open kitchen and the garden area where we could bbq and cook outside. Loved to say hello to the donkeys in the morning too. Staff all very very friendly. Breakfasts were delicious! Lots of nature. We saw lots of colourful birds, parrots, lizards, cats and dogs. Pool was lovely and deep (bit of a surprise how deep). But luxurious to soak in after a long day. Bed was very comfortable and spacious."

"Breakfast was every day very tasty. If it would be too spicy you only needed to communicate that and a little change was made in the kitchen. Perfect. Our little lodge fullfilled all our wishes. Very lovely located between beautiful plants and with 2 little housefriends, small lizards, as a bonus! In the morning we loved to wake up with all the variaty of bird singing. A pool next to the lodge, a lovely veranda with a roof van, lounge chairs to relax. Every now and than an big iguana walked passed our lodge. If you pay attention and sit still for a while you could even spot a little hummingbird. It was like living in a small, green, carribic paradise. We enjoyed ever minute!!!"

"We really enjoyed our stay. The bungalows are very comfortable and it's fun to watch the lizards on the patio. There are so many beautiful plants on the whole area as well as a lot of birds and reptiles. We didn't have any problems with mosquitoes. The breakfast was so delicious and it was a pleasure to be greeted every morning by the very friendly Ben. The online guest book was really helpful with all the recommendations."
