"The host was very flexible about arrival time, which was really helpful given that it's quite hard to estimate how long it will take to drive a considerable distance. The location was easy to find although suitably distant from the main A road and the parking excellent, with easy access to the house. The bedroom and private bathroom were spotless, and the bed extremely comfortable. The dining room was spacious with large windows looking on to the gardens, and places were laid at a large communal table; the breakfast was delicious with fresh orange juice, tasty croissants and a perfectly boiled egg!"

"La Soierie host is simply charming. If you have dogs ( we don't) which are allowed to stay and go when swimming pool is open and have an evening meal (not on offer) then you'll appreciate La Soierie more than we did. . The breakfast was generous and delightful. The parking outside great. The bedrooms are on 1st floor with a kettle and hot drink making facilities on landing. The room has air con which helped heat it. The bed comfy. WiFi fine."

"The furnishings & ensuite shower room are a bit dated compared to other offerings with a 9 rating. A smart tv which allows me to log into Netflix would be appreciated as French terrestrial tv can be a bit dull. Towels were rough - a few mins in the tumble dryer should help."

"Emilie and Maxine made us very welcome and looked after us superbly. We enjoyed a pre-dinner glass of wine followed by a 'round-the-table' meal alongside the other guests who were staying. And a mix of French, Belgian and British guests made for an interesting and enjoyable evening - with a certain amount of sign-language thrown in! Breakfast the following day was very welcome and set us up for our onward journey - good that this was included in the overall price too. A charming, peaceful location with secure, private parking and equally charming hosts. :0)"
