"The owner was really kind and welcoming. She was always there to help of we needed. House is newly built and we felt like really at home. The owners thought of every detail. The area is great with fresh air and it is silent."

"We really enjoyed our recent stay at La Croix Douillet. The house was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities needed for a short break. The covered seating area in the garden was the perfect spot to relax in the evenings with a glass of wine and it was really well sheltered, so still felt perfectly cosy even when the weather took a turn for the worse. Although the house itself is in a very peaceful and rural setting, the town centre of Gavray is only a 15 minute walk away. The town has a small supermarket, a few restaurants, two boulangeries and a couple of takeaway restaurants. We both felt that the location was ideal for exploring the sights of Normandy with Rennes, Caen and Mont St Michel all just over an hour away by car. Wendy and Philip were very helpful and friendly hosts and the welcome basket on arrival was a lovely touch!"
