Looking out across the beautiful Lake District, family-run Meadowbank bed and breakfast is just 5 minutes’ walk from Ambleside’s charming centre. It serves freshly cooked breakfasts, made with local produce. Each bright room features a TV and a private bathroom with a hairdryer, whilst many also boast views of Loughrigg Fell and the local countryside. A digital radio and free tea/coffee are also provided in every room. Full English breakfasts are cooked-to-order by the owners of Meadowbank. Guests have views of the garden and Fells from the dining room. Perfect walking and cycling landscape is on the doorstep, and restaurants and shops are less than half a mile away. The scenic northern shores of Lake Windermere are just over 1 mile away.

"We had a brilliant stay. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, and very quiet despite it being a 5 minute walk from all the action in Ambleside. Breakfast was delicious, loads of choices and cooked fresh to order. We’d happily stay here again on our next trip to the Lake District!"

"We have stayed at Meadowbank many times and we just love it. Meadowbank is in the perfect location with lots of on site parking. The rooms are large modern and comfortable and most of them have lovely views over fields and fells. Mike the owner is welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast is excellent and the homemade bread and muffins are extremely good! Will be back year after year!"
