"We had a wonderful stay at Itoshima Beach House. It was special to be able to stay in such a quiet and peaceful place, to fall asleep at night and hear the waves crashing on the shore was very calming. Eleo and Lyn were wonderful hosts."

"The hosts made us feel very welcome. We really appreciated their tips for local favourite restaurants, things to do, etc; they left a nice welcome pack of snacks, etc, and had many thoughtful extras on hand, eg, games, condiments, toiletries, and a very happy toaster!"

"The host told us in advance that the kitchen was set up for light cooking, which was helpful. There is a single gas burner which we used for kettle, bacon/eggs. A barbecue is also available if needed. Stairs to 2nd level are narrow with good hand rails but we still took extra care going up and down. Also they are squeaky/creaky."

"Wszystko wspaniałe, obsługa na najwyższym poziomie. Miejsce bardzo klimatyczne i romantyczne. Nasz pokój przeszedł nasze oczekiwania, mieliśmy dostęp do prywatnej wanny na balkonie z wodą z onsenu. Ponadto w ośrodku jest parę pokoi onsen z możliwością wykorzystania wedle dostępności w danym dniu. Hotel znajduje się u podnóża wzgórza a nasz tradycyjny pokój ryokan na wyższym poziomie miał piękny widok na morze. Mimo bliskości drogi, wieczorem było bardzo spokojnie i wypoczywaliśmy. Po naszym pobycie poprosiliśmy o podwiezienie na dworzec, nie było z tym problemu. Polecamy również zabrać tradycyjne śniadanie. Polecam!"

"The location was great, a short distance walk from the main station (and the directions given were so helpful). The check-in process was easy, and even though staff were remote, they were very responsive - responding quickly to messages. The whole place was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The WiFi was great, and we loved the small touches like the sandals provided at the door, new toothbrushes to use (and we had forgotten ours) , and even some laundry detergent available if you needed to wash a few items. Would definitely stay again if given the opportunity."

"What a pleasure it was to stay here! On arrival I was welcomed by Tomoko-san and immediately felt at home. Despite the language barrier it was easy to communicate, and Tomoko-san showed me around the facilities, and to my room. There was another guest staying on the same night, an older gentleman on a tour of the shrines and temples of Tokushima. We had a long conversation that evening, and he was kind enough to share some of his dinner with me, so I can confirm the food is excellent too (as was the traditional breakfast the next morning). The economy twin room I stayed in was very comfortable and cosy. The location is good too - I didn't have time to explore the immediate area, but I stayed here for easy access to the bicycle rental places for cycling the Shimanami Kaido, and it was less than half an hour's drive to the start of the route."
