"Exceptional stay – truly 5⭐+ service We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make our visit special – the level of presentation and customer service was truly 5⭐+. One gentleman in particular (apologies that we can’t remember his name) took the time to personally take us on a village tour to meet the locals, and kindly translated our conversations, which made the experience incredibly authentic and memorable. The hotel itself sits high up on a hill with breathtaking views over the “Little England” tea plantations, which made every moment there feel special. Everything about our stay was amazing – the hospitality, the views, and the experiences. A heartfelt thank you to everyone – we will never forget it. 🙏"

"If I could score this higher I would. What an exceptional experience. The hotel is beautiful and spotless. The rooms have comfortable beds. We had far reaching views which were spectacular. Our bathroom was the best we've had so far in Sri Lanka. Huge walk in rain shower with separate body jet spray. Glorious hot water. We ate there in the evening and the manager attended to all our needs. Breakfast was superb. After breakfast we did an optional tour with the manager to the local village and got to see the house and the families that live there. It was one of the hilights of the trip so far and was very moving. The manager is an absolute gem. What a lovely man and an asset to the hotel. Highly recommended 👌"

"Beautiful property in the middle of Pedro estate. All the staff and management were very kind and helpful to our needs. Our room was exceptionally clean and very spacious the bathroom was huge and modern. Our views onto the tea estate was gorgeous. Breakfast was also excellent. We were able to walk to closeby restaurants and felt perfectly fine."

"Staff is super friendly Helped us take luggage to the room Had balloons in for valentines. We didn't ask any special things but I appreciate them taking a genuine effort, made us feel welcome. Rooms are good sized with a good view from the balcony overlooking a tea estate."

"Slightly away from the city but you'll always find tuk tuks via Pick me app or the hotel can arrange it for you. Not really a negative. Not sure if the AC or TV worked as we tried once and didn't bother asking to fix. Just enjoyed the cold weather and good views from the balcony."

"Stunning setting and beautiful rooms. Staff were very attentive and we enjoyed many fun interactions with each of them. Meals were great and it was thoughtful to provide packed breakfasts for our very early Horton Plains walk. Special place and special people!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Mount Royal. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (thank you for such a lovely stay!). Our room was beautiful with two balconies looking out over the hills of Nuwara Eliya. Our booking included a very tasty breakfast."
