"Wybraliśmy ten hotel ponownie, co świadczy samo za siebie. Fantastyczna lokalizacja, piękny widok, świetna okolica, znakomite śniadania. Cudowny personel. Mnóstwo przestrzeni do odpoczynku i rekreacji. Bardzo blisko jest przystanek autobusowy, z którego za 2,20 euro można szybko i podziwiając obłędne widoki, dojechać do Funchal. Byliśmy tu w sierpniu i w styczniu - niezależnie od pogody, hotel spełnia oczekiwania. Hotel jest częścią kompleksu hoteli i wymaga remontu, ale w związku z samymi poza tym zaletami, drobne mankamenty nie przeszkadzają. Z pewnością wrócimy tu jeszcze wiele razy!"

Śniadania w formie bufetu na tarasie widokowym, w słońcu i przy akompaniamencie oceanu smakują wyjątkowo. Atut hotelu - budzisz się i zasypiasz ze wspaniałym widokiem na ocean, słysząc - po otwarciu drzwi balkonowych - szum fal. Parking bezproblemowy. Obsługa miła. Polecam zarówno Orchid, jak i Rocamar jako bazę wypadową do zwiedzania wyspy samochodem. W opcji ze śniadaniem sprawdza się bardzo dobrze. Madera ma tyle wspaniałych miejsc, w których warto zjeść kolację, że lepiej do hotelu wrócić dopiero na noc."

"Roca Mar is located on the sea front giving some great views looking out over the multi-level swimming and sun bathing areas. Loads to do in the hotel from scuba diving, lido, Golds gym, massage. activities like the scuba diving may have been an extra cost, I'm not sure as most of my activities we're outside the hotel. I picked this hotel as I wanted somewhere quieter than Funchal and a bit more chilled out. If you did want to go to Funchal though they was a daily mini bus service run from the hotel as well as cheap reliable public transport. The restaurant and bar area were decent too offering a wide variety of breakfast items plus it had a great terrace for enjoying drinks and food. Loads of different restaurants around Roca Mar in Canico too. The staff were helpful and easy to communicate with. All in all a very enjoyable stay at Roca Mar."

If pushed maybe the room seemed a bit dated (The hotel was like three hotels in one and I stayed in the Blue Orchid part, the Roca Mar part did look a bit more up market) you had to rent a key for the room safe instead of a pin code safe, so you had to hide the key everyday and make sure you didn't lose it. 2.50 Euro's a day"

"The hotel is located in a beautiful location. We had a balcony with a fantastic view of the ocean. We enjoyed coffee and the view from our balcony. Our room was very large. I was very surprised by the size of the room. The bed is comfortable. We are also satisfied with the cleanliness. The toilet and bathroom are large enough and spacious. The breakfast room is large with a terrace overlooking the ocean. The breakfast is varied and always fresh. There are several restaurants and smaller ones near the hotel. supermarket. Car parking is good. I rate this hotel with the highest rating and I am very happy to recommend it."

"Amazing experience, we loved it! It’s a complex of three hotels united, we were in the Royal Orchid, which is freshly renewed (the other two are not) the facilities are amazing and the view is stunning. Staff is also friendly!"
