"We had a stay for 3 nights. Since there is no other restaurant in the neigborhood we ate 3 times there. However, the basic menu is quite limited. Luckily the cook was able to prepare us 3 distinct vegetarian meals during our stay."

"The place is stunning, great atmosphere, wonderful garden, room spacious, nice and comfortable, food delicious on the first evening and the dinner setting in the greenhouse brilliant."

"We reserved a table for dinner again on our third night but unfortunately it did not live to the expectation. Firstly we were told we had to eat outside and not in the greenhouse because we were accompanied by our two small dogs, although this was not an issue two nights before! There were tables free in the greenhouse and we had a reservation but tables were given to guests without a reservation because they did not have a dog with them. It was cold and windy outside, and because other guests complained and were moved inside -and luckily for us they also had a dog!-we were moved inside too. I am afraid this is highly unprofessional and in our case really defy the purpose of a reservation, if we could not be accommodated where we wanted to, we should have been told at the time we reserved. Also, it makes a mockery of this being a dog friendly establishment. I understand dogs may not be allowed inside a restaurant, although also this is meanwhile no longer the case in many establishments including Michelin starred ones, but that they cannot be in a greenhouse is ludicrous also bearing in mind they were allowed there two days before. The food was good, although my carpaccio was frozen, however it was swiftly replaced. All in all a disappointing evening, which could have easily been avoided, such a shame."

"A beautiful and meticulously renovated small castle set in a lovely carefully maintained park with access to two lakes. The staff are super charming, welcoming and accommodating. Very nice restaurant with excellent food selections and a good wine list. Rooms are spacious and clean with a nice bathroom and comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet was great, lots to chose from."

"Jätte fint rum, rymligt, välstädat. Bra dusch med duschtvål/schampoo, balsam och handtvål. Generöst med handdukar. Väldigt trevlig personal i receptionen och frukostrestaurangen. God frukost buffe. Kul och välkomnande med namnat bord."

"Spectacular historic building in lovely grounds set between two lakes. The rooms within the slott (castle in Swedish) itself are full of period furniture and very atmospheric - this includes the bar, restaurant and state rooms where you can relax with a drink if you are a guest - it was a first to be able to relax in furniture used by a former king of Sweden, rather than it being roped off as furniture usually is in stately homes. The staff were delightful - charming, helpful and not at all stuffy, and the food in the restaurant was absolutely first rate. Our room was in the Mill, one of the outbuildings a couple of minutes of walk from the slott. The room was fine, modern and well furnished, but nothing out of the ordinary. Some great walks close by on Ivo island."
