"Beautiful Hotel in exceptional setting. 9 Acres of stunningly well kept gardens, two swimming pools, well attended by Victor in particular. All staff very friendly, efficient, courteous and highly trained. Lovely restaurant and dining area decorated with lovely fabrics. We were particularly impressed that we were allowed to check in early as we were only hoping to drop our luggage off as we had to return our rental car early in the day, but as our room was ready, we were allowed to use it well before official check in time - well done for that."

"Unfortunately we had a very poor meal in the restaurant on our first night. Maybe we got a stand in chef as anecdotally we had heard good things about the food there, but on this occasion, the quality of both our meals fell way short of expectations - real shame! Subsequently, we had a lunch time meal and this was absolutely fine."

"Everything. It is one of the cleanest, well presented, friendly and welcoming hotel I have ever stayed at. Food and Food service was exceptional, especially Q who looked after us so well when we first arrived, and always greeted us with a warm smile. Nothing is too much trouble. Its location just outside of Cape Town allowed us to have the flexibility to get to many interesting places, yet still giving us the tranquility we needed."

"Lovely upmarket country house feel. Lovely setting for breakfast with excellent choice, fresh orange juice and pretty much anything you would want. Great service. Lovely lawned pool area with thick cushioned sunbeds. Small but perfectly adequate gym with treadmill, concept 2 rower, stepping machine, mats, free weights and strength training machine. Light and airy, clean, with air-conditioning. I didn't use the hairdresser or spa treatments but they looked very nice. Lovely evening restaurant with tasty well presented food. We were offered a late check out without even having to ask. Very much appreciated."

"Sometimes the service at dinner was a bit slow in serving drinks. My first room didn't have curtains and let in too much light so I was woken very early. However the staff were excellent at resolving the complaint. I was staying with friends and we were moved to a beautiful 2 bedroom villa. Thanks to Tanya and Ashwin for sorting this out. I would recommend ear plugs the birdsong is loud and starts very early!"
