"Reasonably priced compared to alternatives in the area. Our half day (evening) Safari guided by Nikki was great and we noted that most other vehicles in block A didn’t have a guide and hence struggled to spot wildlife. Some food was very good - especially the curries at lunch. We loved the set up for the dinner by the bonfire. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly."

"The food at the dinners was very expensive and rather disappointing. I also felt they made a bit of an over performance of check in needing to be at a specific time. And by not having a jeep on site, you are essentially trapped on site where prices are very high. I did see a small lane on the far right of the property, which according to maps would be a 5min walk to the main road and I believe the staff were using this route. Perhaps this is just to make you feel a bit more rural than you actually are. We also did not like the upsell pressure to try to get us to do additional safaris/ create large packages."

"Everything was exceptional - the staff, the property, the location, the food, the animal visitors. The food was the best we experienced in Sri Lanka by far and having the ability to visit the bigger sister hotel whenever we needed a change of scenery was perfect. We travelled with a 6mo baby and it was very suitable."

"The service tax + gratuity that was added at the end of the stay was a surprise and quite a bit extra, but it didn’t ruin the experience. Just something we wish was made more obvious."
