"My wife and I were heading for the LeMans 24hrs and chose Le Madrigal as a stop for the eve of the race. Marc and Hervé were most welcoming to their home which is full of curios both wierd and wonderful. We loved it! Breakfast was the usual french type (jams were lovely) , after which we took a little time to explore the large and beautiful garden. Overall, we were were enchanted and are now thinking about a trip to use Le Madrigal as a base to explore La Sarthe region and its antique shops."

"While the bathroom was en suite, the toilet was separate. Not such an issue as we were the only guests when we satyed."

"the madrigal is a Maison d’ôtes located in a beautiful manor house and manage by the two owners. the house has a very eclectic decor, resulting from the taste to collect of the owners. you may love it or hated, but the place is special. we liked it. the hosts were extremely hospitable, knowing we were arriving late in the evening and that the village of Mamers would not have much to offer in terms of meals they have offered to prep dinner at very short notice. everything was delicious. breakfast is also very good. we recommend this establishment"

"while we were very well accommodated we were not pleased with the fact that our rooms had no bathroom and this had not been disclosed when we made the reservation. we were a group and shared the toilet amongst us, but if this was not the case this wouldn’t be nice."

"Notre séjour au Madrigal a été véritablement fantastique. La maison est une ancienne propriété bourgeoise qui a appartenu à une famille d’industriels locaux et qui a été entièrement rénovée par les hôtes Hervé et Marc. Dès qu'on y pénètre, on est impressionné par les objets anciens, les tableaux, les sculptures et les meubles d'époque qui ont été magnifiquement restaurés. C'est à la fois un musée et une maison d'artiste. L'atmosphère y est très éclectique et singulière. La chambre était confortable et le jardin magnifique. Hervé et Marc sont véritablement deux personnes très sympathiques et intéressantes. Ils sont aux petits soins pour leurs invités. Nous avons eu droit à un dîner digne d'un restaurant étoilé Michelin ainsi qu'à des petits déjeuners copieux. Notre séjour a largement dépassé nos attentes et je donnerais 6 étoiles sur 5 si je le pouvais. Merci encore !!!"

"Fantastic historical property. Perfect to unplug from daily routine. You're transported to a different time and place the moment you walk in. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, each room is decorated with a different theme using artwork and collectors' items and has a private bathroom. Everything is spotless clean. The hosts are great and clearly passionate about their project. I would love to go back to spend time in the garden or in the jacuzzi on the balcony"

"Tout!!! Séjour inoubliable. Le cadre est superbe, la déco incroyable et les hôtes Marc et Hervé sont extraordinaires, de magnifiques personnes d'une générosité fabuleuse. Chaque matin le petit-déjeuner a été magistral et les soupers tout autant. Un merveilleux weekend unique et authentique. Nous recommandons chaudement. Nous reviendrons dès que possible."

"De hartelijke ontvangst en de symphatieke gastheren. We waren aangenaam verrast van de zeer smaakvolle ingerichte kamer en B&B in het algemeen en de mooie tuin. Ze doen dat met veel passie en er staat nog veel te ontdekken.We wensen hen veel succes."
