"So pleased and lucky we got room in this hotel. Perfect sunset place with balconies overlooking stunning Calanques and Genoese tower. Very good value and best placed hotel in area. Highlight of our 2 weeks travelling round Corsica - without a car. The most stupendous bus ride to Porta Ota. Thanks to earlier reviews we booked the boat Passe Partout Integral (longest - 4 hour trip) to see the Calanques. Out of this world and fantastic trip. Strongly recommend this. Then went to villa Rena restaurant at end of road for gourmet meal at reasonable price (earlier reviews we said this restaurant should have Michelin star and it should). We left on 1 October and bus timetables changed to winter timetable that day so only one bus back to Ajaccio - 8.15 am! The hotel were great and kindly ferried us up the 1 kilometres to the bus stop!"

"Old fashioned little hotel with great views of the Genoese tower and pretty bay. Can’t go wrong. The view from the balcony is superb. The restaurant opposite - Le Soleil Couchant - was fab and right on the water. We had a lovely boat ride at 60 euro per person with Le Pass Partout people recommended by the hotel. Not to be missed. We went on the pink boat and did the whole trip - Scandola National Park and Girolata included. No drinks etc on the boat. The time passed quickly. Only one thing is that commentary was all in French. Go to Evisa and the Cascade and rock pools. You are not supposed to swim in there but…. It was a dream!"

"Need more cushions to rest the back on for reading, mugs and glasses in the room were missing. Papee cups are not really a great idea. However, we asked for mugs so we could make our own tea and glasses for wine- so all ok. There is a kettle in the room and mini fridge so all good."

"The parking near the hotel isn’t free as it is the city parking and it is paid 9am-7pm but the whole day parking is like 4€, so no big deal, but needs to be kept in mind."

"Wonderful location, we really loved Porto, a small, quiet but engaging town. All rooms have views over the bay, those fabulous sunsets, the sound of waves and are overlooked by gorgeous mountains and a Genoese tower. Quite a dreamy location for Corsica. The hotel is very tranquil and we had a superbly comfortable room - slept so well here! We thought the hotel was nicer than reviews suggested - we'd spent a lot of time choosing where to stay and very, VERY glad we chose this hotel."

"First of all, the view from the balcony is absolutely stunning! The location itself is very convenient — within a few minutes' walk, you’ll find a lovely restaurant, parking, and everything you might need, such as supermarkets and places to book a boat trip. The room was very clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The hotel owners were very kind and welcoming."

"Spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. Absolutely magnificent view from our balcony. Fabulous location with easy walk to the marina and some superb restaurants (Villa Rina & Le Soleil Couchant). Pleasant breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay."
