"Excellent location, plenty of facilities on the grounds to choose from. Mambo beach was not too crowsded as we feared, and there was no construction in the area. Great customer service too, we appreciated the followup email asking if there is anything we need during our stay and our request was immediately granted."

Staff could have been a bit more friendlier, especially Hemingway/receptionists. Also there was a slight smell of mold in our room. You can pay in EUR, but not worth it since the change you will get back is in USD, hence losing money.

Le prix reste un peu cher pour le Myanmar dans le contexte politique actuel même si il se comprend. Le confort du lit, matelas, était mauvais. Les coupures d'électricité durant tout un après-midi sont aussi à prendre en compte. Enfin les matelas et les serviettes autour de la piscine semblent une option.

The room view is absolutely spectacular, making it hard to even leave the balcony, and the room itself is kept spotlessly clean and neat. I really appreciated the thoughtful room accessories and how easy it was to get from the room directly to the restaurant without any hassle. The breakfast was incredibly delicious and fresh, providing the perfect start to the day. What truly made the stay, though, was the lovely staff—they are so polite, welcoming, and genuine that you feel right at home. "Just generally one of those special places that will stick in my memory forever. A collection of pretty little cabins by the beach surrounded by palm trees with hammocks slung between them for whiling away the days. With only the sounds of birds and waves. Where everyone just hangs out and chats, the staff, the other guests, the extremely interesting and gregarious owner Gregory (no pun intended). I could spend a week here just forgetting about the outside world. The various arrangements (airport transfer, transfer back to town, activities) all went smoothly as well. Which is my no means guaranteed in this part of the world."

Not much but if I went again I'd maybe pay a little more for the room with ensuite shower rather than sharing a communal shower with non locking door. Obviously this is budget accommodation in West Africa so it's of the rustic eco lodge variety rather than the western style hotel room variety in case anyone is expecting that.

"The location is the best. Easy access when arriving at Lac Rose. Most activities are located right in front of the hotel (horse/camel riding, quad rental to ride in the sand dunes, etc). The hotel is literally on the lake, with the terrasse and dining area built over the water."

Some items on the menu tasted like they were not fresh. The AC in the room was a bit underperforming and noisy. The lock on the glass door going to the balcony was broken and could not be locked.

"Our suite came with a hot tub on the balcony. It was beautiful view and the rooms were super comfortable. The suite also came with a glass of wine and complimentary breakfast buffet the next day. It was very pleasant and nice. We enjoyed our stay."

"Well maintained, super friendly and helpful staff. Room was always well stocked with towels and cleaned. Nicola does a great job by the pool keeping everyone happy with towels, food and drinks. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly and the bartender was always smiling and talkative. D Richard’s steakhouse was great - Steak Diane and Filet were both excellent. Sol de Mar had good Mediterranean style food with a relaxed atmosphere. My husband and I ate here on a few occasions- pasta with lobster, veal scallopini both great choices. Close location to a number of off property restaurants that are excellent."

The pads on the loungers are very old, worn thin and extremely uncomfortable to sit on. Chef’s Table wasn’t good- we ate only one dinner there and the lobster cake and fish were dried out. The pasta dish with Shrimp had the full shell on the shrimp still making eating very messy. Lobster Fest on the beach was disappointing. The lobster was dried out as it had been sitting under lamps for some time. We waited 30 minutes past our reservation time to finally get a table after speaking with the manager in charge. Very unorganized.

"Bardzo dobre i różnorodne śniadanie. Obiady smaczne i dostępne dania regionalne (tańsze niż restauracjach na zewnątrz) Obsługa pomocna np robiąc grzanki na życzenie. Niesamowita sauna z widokiem na stok narciarki przez wielkie okno."

Jedyny problem był z keczupem za który chcieli dopłaty podczas śniadania wliczonego w cenę?!

"I love this family friendly vibe! There is a pool for kids, adults with swim up bar and another quieter relax pool for adults only. The shows were good- the circus show and the fire show were my favorites. Everyone from the front desk to servers to housekeeping were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, you have a choice in the evening between the buffet and restaurants."

It took us a few days to figure out what was happening at the resort as our Spanish was so limited.

Check air conditioner operation before sleeping! We down graded to beach front from water bungalow but didnt get discount or reimbursement from booking dot com. :( Had noisy neighouring resort from parties over 2 days.

"The hotel was exceptional from arriving to leaving. The little touches make it extra special like free mini bar, little gifts in your room every evening, water hampers on the beach. The beach is amazing, all rooms have perfect views. Staff are very attentive. Breakfast has the best choices, one of the best I have had. Michelin star restaurant is fabulous would definitely recommend."

Rooms very expensive but definitely worth a visit
