"Exceptional environment, well-kept, among the trees, calm, peaceful. The cottages are built in such a way that they have a pleasant temperature without air conditioning or fans. At night, for the first time in Gambia, I had to cover myself with a duvet. The owner and staff were extremely kind, accommodating, unobtrusive."

A little hard to find.

"The accommodation is in a great location, just a few meters from the ocan and the centre - cafés, restaurants, and bars are all within walking distance. The place was clean, the room was spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent, and we also made use of the hotel’s pool, which was a nice bonus."

As for the negatives, the first thing that surprised us was the arrival - when we got there in later afternoon, the night guard simply waved his hand to indicate where our room was, without giving us any further information. Unfortunately, the staff in general were not very friendly or welcoming. I should also mention that payment was accepted only in cash, which was quite surprising since we had no issues paying by card anywhere else in El Salvador. Overall, I would probably come back again.

It is 30 minutes on a very bumpy road from the gate to the national park and we were the only people to pass through each day. This end of the park is forest and scrub so very difficult to see game. There are not many roads in the park and almost no signage.

"Breakfast was fine - just remember to inform the owner the day before if you require breakfast. Ingrid, the co-owner, is a lovely woman and a fine, traditional cook. You will never leave the table hungry! Whilst she can offer beer at an extra cost, we tended to buy our own along with wine to drink at dinner. Again, you will need to inform Ingrid on the day if you require dinner later. There is no choice; me and my wife are both omnivores with no allergies or intollerances, and always liked what she prepared! Our lodge was spacious with a generous deck overlooking the beautiful gardens, and the sea in the background."

A small fridge in our lodge would have been a great bonus - however, we were free to use Ingrid's fridge. The shower was also a little on the dribbly side!

"Przemiła obsługa. Lokalizacja w pięknym starym mieście. Kot z dzwoneczkiem przesympatyczny. Pyszne śniadanie zrobione [przez właścicielkę. Pokój w urokliwym miejscu. Widok na góry Trafiła nam się nawet wanna. Przepięknie, klimatycznie, można było poczuć ten klimat. Sama trasa przez góry do Miejsca niezwykła."

"A little gem of a hotel in a most beautiful location. The staff give an extremely warm reception, they are super friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and what can be done…..if they didn’t know, they knew someone who does. For example, they arranged a night watching the turtles and a guide to walk some local waterfalls. The food was out of this world, fresh and local produce cooked by chefs who’ve been cooking their whole life."

Droga dojazdowa jest dość wymagająca.

"Everything was exceptional - the hospitality, the service, the setting, the food, the environment. The service was some of the best I have ever experienced. The safari guides were exceptionally knowledgeable - we learned a great deal and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of every game drive. The food was 10/10 - I am gluten free and they prepared a separate menu for me every meal time. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!"

Nothing - I do not have a bad word to say about Long Lee. It exceeded our expectations and more.

"Nice forest hut on the edge of a forest - 10 min to a beach by foot. You are really almost in the middle of nature here. The forest was full of blackberries when we were there. The kitchenette corner is smallish but sufficient to make a meal for a family of four."

It may be a bit challenging to find the right road leading to the house, but we managed. Go past the road leading to the two storey apartment houses, and turn to the left of the warehouse-like structure which is further on the road.

Was a bit musty smelling, but after being opened up and aired out and a candle or two it was perfect.

"Mieliśmy nie aż tak daleko na stok. Domek był Fajnie zlokalizowany wśród drzew, co nadawało niesamowitego klimatu. Domek letniskowy był fajnie zaaranżowany. Po mimo, że było mało miejsca to było wszystko czego potrzebowaliśmy."

Domek był podzielony na dwa mieszkania przez co największym minusem była cienka ściana pomiędzy. Było słychać przez nią wszystko co robili sąsiedzi - szuranie stołami i krzesłami, gotowanie, rozmowę, seks... Jeszcze jak mieliśmy podobny tryb funkcjonowania to było okej. Ale jeżeli o 4 nad ranem po drugiej stronie zaczynają hałasować sprzątając, jedząc, też przestawiać łóżka, stół i krzesła, bo opuszczali domek, to byliśmy bardzo zirytowani.

Klimatyzator w pokoju był dość głośny i nie do końca pozwalał schłodzić pomieszczenie, jednak byliśmy w ekstremalne upały.

"It is a unique carribean cottage, which is a little gem. It is a five minute walk to a lovely beach. We cooked in as the kitchen had everything one required. We had our meal out on the verandah next to the kitchen and watched the sunset. Sabina is a wonderful hostess. When we arrived she tried to book as into a restaurant but it was full so she took us to the local supermarket to ensure we would have a good meal. Keith was also really helpful and a great guy. We wished we had booked it for longer."

Het eten en drinken. Er was veel niet aanwezig van wat er op de kaart stond. Zowel van het eten als het drinken. Dat mag niet mogelijk zijn voor de prijs die je betaalt.
